  My husband and I went to Breakwater for our 3yr wedding anniversary on 3/14/17. My honest opinion, the place is way over priced. The food is not that great for the price that they're asking. I had the shrimp and fried rice. I decided to get the small portion as the waiter intended it would fill you up and sure enough when it came I was disappointed. It was enough food for a young child to eat not an adult. So of course I was still very hungry. The shrimp didn't have much flavor. My husband order the New York strip and that by far had to be the worst steak we have ever tried. There was no flavor is was very bland and we paid $32 for that.... we had our 1 yr old with us as well as our newborn. We were disappointed when we were told there was no kids menu but they had kid highchairs. So for our daughter we ordered the BBQ pork belly only because it came with Mac &cheese which our daughter loves. There was nothing special about the pork belly. It was very char and burnt at the bottom which was highly disappointing. We will not be going here ever again. On top of all of that, there's no parking/ not nearly enough.

  Breakwater was my favorite when we first found Beaufort in the early about 10 yrs ago. Great bartenders and tasty nosh small plates that could be shared with friends. When did the portion sizes get so much smaller and the prices get so much higher? $17 for 2 scallops and a scoop of risotto on the other side of the plate. Nice wine selections.

  Delicious food, very interesting menu. Pricey but the food, service and presentation are worth it. Decently priced wines, too.
